After the deadly fire in California, Randy Allen shares his three quick tips for how to make limousines even safer.

Our industry was thrust into the spotlight recently after several national news-headlining events sparked the public's interest...and, in some cases, outrage. Randy Allen of James Limousine Service in Richmond, Virginia, sprung into action with some fast and easy tips to instantly make your stretch limousine safer in the event of an emergency.

1. Add fire extinguishers to the front compartment

Allen already had fire extinguishers in the trunk, but adding them to the front compartment, it makes them immediately accessible by the chauffeur so he can focus on stopping the vehicle safely.

2. Disable the child safety locks on the rear doors

Passengers should have easy egress of the vehicle, especially in an emergency.

3. Purchase spring-loaded emergency window punch-out tools

Allen found a neat and handy tool that can break a window if that is the only exit. The best part is that the tool is easy to store and only costs about $15. See a video demonstration here.
