On August 18, the Illinois Limousine & Bus Association (ILLBA) hosted its second breakfast meeting of 2026 at Tiffany's Restaurant Café near Chicago's O'Hare Airport. The association welcomed a record-breaking 45 operators for the event, which saw the members join the ILLBA board for breakfast, networking, and fellowship.

Recently elected ILLBA President Chris Smith of The Transportation Consultants noted that the breakfast was one of the best attended in the history of the organization, with new operators engaging in lively conversation with ILLA's seasoned veterans. He expressed optimism for 2026 membership growth.
“A great turnout clearly demonstrates ILLBA’s value to operators and proves that our goals are in alignment with what will benefit the industry,” said Executive Director Paula DeBiasi of Chicago Coachworks.

During the breakfast meeting, DeBiasi provided attendees with a brief history of the ILLBA, an overview of the benefits of membership, and a preview of the association’s upcoming 40th anniversary in 2027. She and Vice President James Jordan of Lux Tux Transportation discussed the upcoming CD/NLA Show in National Harbor on October 25-27 and encouraged operators to consider taking part in the NLA Scholarship program for the show. Both DeBiasi and Jordan were past beneficiaries of the scholarship program.
The next ILLBA breakfast get together is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20 at a location to be determined.
