To celebrate both the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator officially enjoying 20 years on the market, this duo of best-selling full-size SUVs has been completely redone with a durable aluminum alloy exterior, all-new interior, and a redesigned high-strength steel frame. The trucks are also packed with even more cutting-edge technology to keep your passengers safe, comfortable, and entertained.
Attendees of the Chauffeur Driven Show will be able to toast the newly designed 2018 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, which will be unveiled on the show floor at the Ford-Lincoln booth on Monday, October 23, right after the opening champagne reception. The eagerly awaited SUVs will be revealed to the industry for the first time since the vehicles were announced. We have all the details about the vehicles that have been fleet staples for two decades—but we’ll let the gorgeous, sleek exteriors speak for themselves. They are a true complement to the Ford/Lincoln livery lineup, which includes the Lincoln Continental, MKT Town Car, and Ford Transit.

2018 Ford Expedition Max XLT Series
The new Expedition is lighter and stronger than ever without sacrificing space or comfort. It has more than 40 new features that make the ample SUV not only safe but also incredibly driver-friendly. The ride can also be customized with Ford’s Terrain Management System, which offers a variety of drive modes for the best in handling and passenger comfort.
Ford ups the game with quick cordless charging in the front console, which is the first vehicle in the OEM’s lineup to make this option available. Passengers can take advantage of the one of six USB ports for lightning-fast charging at every seat. And the view from any of those seats is a great one, thanks to an optional panoramic glass roof.
With three rows of seating, plus easy access to the third row with tip-and-slide functionality, there’s plenty of leg room to keep everyone happy and relaxed for the journey. Behind the third row is an expansive cargo area with an adjustable shelf for extra flexibility, so you’ll have no problem hauling all types of luggage. EPA fuel economy data was not available at press time but MY17 was rated 15/21 (city/highway) and MY18 is 300 pounds lighter.

2018 Lincoln Navigator L Select
For the Expedition’s luxurious cousin, technology and an ultra-quiet cabin were tops on the list. Once, backup cameras were the height of safe technology; today, 360-degree surround-view cameras show obstacles around the perimeter of the vehicle. Roll Stability Control keeps the SUV stable and solidly on the road in all kinds of weather, while BLIS helps to make those blind spots a little less blind. For its quietest cabin yet, engineers used laminated front and side glass while Active Noise Control dampens the rest of the road noise.
The Navigator L is also a WiFi hotspot for up to 10 devices. Passengers can easily stay connected with six USB ports, four 12-volt power outlets, and a 110-volt plug. Second-row passengers—from their captain’s chairs—can each access their own entertainment on one of the flat panel displays, while also controlling their climate. Available third-row power recline makes the last seat in the house one of the most comfortable. The Navigator also has the panoramic roof.
The driver can customize the driving experience with the adjustable pedals and 30-way power seat, which are available with heat, cooling, and massage. The Navigator’s standard twin-turbo V6 engine and 10-speed transmission makes for effortless and smooth acceleration. Lincoln now features SYNC 3 in its vehicles for the most feature-dense control center possible, which is accessible on a sleek 10-inch display that is voice and touch activated. Estimated fuel economy is 16/23 (city/highway).
