The TomTom BRIDGE is a rugged navigation device built for professional drivers that seamlessly links business applications with TomTom maps, traffic, and navigation software. It provides a friendly, out-of-the-box solution to help meet the electronic logging device (ELD) mandate in the U.S. and Canada.
“Our collaboration with GPSi offers school bus and motorcoach operators a better journey,” said Sebastien Ruffino, business unit manager, TomTom BRIDGE. “Together we will help increase safety and provide drivers with more efficiency and convenience.”
Due to a modernizing industry and a pending ELD mandate, it is increasingly difficult for fleet owners to find reliable solutions that simultaneously address ELD, driver-vehicle inspection reports, and International Fuel Tax Agreement. “We saw the opportunity to gather all of our members who were attending, together in one place, to help our members get to know the great companies in our groups and to make new business relationships,” explained Arthur Messina, managing director of Driving Results. “More than 40 companies were represented with 30 able attend the dinner. We were fortunate to have the event at Sotto Mare Restaurant, which is owned by a former industry member, Rich Azzolino from Gateway Global.”
Driving Results organizes and facilitates peer groups in the for-hire transportation industry. The groups are limited to twenty members all from different markets. Members share key learnings and have educational and networking opportunities. They each meet three times a year.
“I was glad to have this additional opportunity to see and meet with my group members,” explained Wasif Bhatti, president of Limo Corp Worldwide. “I was also glad to get to know the members of other groups in a more social atmosphere. It was a great compliment to the Retreat, which I plan to attend again next year. “
“We look for opportunities to assist our members develop new business relationships, in additional ways, to compliment what they receive during their individual group meetings,” said Messina. “The Chauffeur Driven Executive Retreat was an incredible event at a beautiful venue, in a city that people love to visit. Previously, Bantley served in a variety of leadership roles within sales strategy, key account sales management, international sourcing, and product development. He gained his first exposure in the transportation industry working with Minnesota-based operator Ready Bus Line for five years.
“I look forward to working with the CH Bus Sales team to help propel sales in the northeast region,” says Bantley. “It’s a great time to enter the motorcoach market with industry revenue markers trending positive. Temsa continues to expand new offerings and enhance current models, offering high quality products for the U.S. market. I see big potential for growth.”
Bantley will bring a breadth of new ideas and strategic management to this role, which will help build the Temsa and CH Brands throughout the northeast operator network. As account executive, he will participate in regional associations by attending annual meetings, will make customer courtesy visits, facilitate sales of new and pre-owned equipment and will work diligently with CH’s customer base to ensure superb support and service.
In other CH Bus Sales news, Bianco Tours of Taylor, Mich., has taken delivery of two Temsa TS 30 motorcoaches. Their charter travel fleet now includes three Temsa buses, including a 2017 TS 35E.
Bianco’s TS 30s are equipped with a Cummins ISB engine and Allison B300 transmission, in addition to favorite customer features such as 110V plugs with USB ports, REI audio/video, sun shades, woodgrain floor, rear window, and Alcoa aluminum wheels. In making the purchasing decision for the new vehicles, Bianco Tours owners Kent and Jill Bianco share that it was “the sharp turning radius, accessibility to mechanical components, and stability on the road” that helped turn their eyes to the TS 30. Now, they are able to offer their small group customers competitive rates without sacrificing the comfort and luxury of a larger coach.
“The midsize Temsa offered a unique solution to a market needing smaller, over-the-road coaches that the cutaway models could not meet,” adds the Biancos.
