Fran Shane Mount Laurel, N.J. — Francis “Fran” Shane, former executive director of the National Limousine Association (NLA), passed away July 3 due to complications from diabetes. He served as NLA executive director from 2003 until 2007. The Philadelphia native had a long and varied career that included hosting a weekend program for a Minnesota radio station, serving on the presidential primary campaign for Senator Robert Dole, and as executive director of the National Genealogical Society in Virginia.
Shane is survived by his wife, Geraldine; son Michael; daughters Theresa, Kelly, Christine Paladino, and Monica Shane-Sanchez; two sisters; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A viewing was set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Andrew T. Rakowski Funeral Home, 2634 E. Allegheny Ave., Philadelphia with a funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at St. Adalbert Church, 2645 E. Allegheny Ave., Philadelphia. Burial will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pa.

Mike McCrary of Peak Limousine
Charlotte, N.C. — Shawn Glasgow, president and owner of Peak Limousine, recently announced that Michael “Mike” McCrary has joined the company as its new operations manager. The move was effective as of July 1.
McCrary previously worked for Paradise Worldwide Transportation (of Tampa, Fla.) as its operations manager for 7 years. Prior to joining the industry, the Florida native had an extensive background in customer service. He also worked as a service manager at Terminix Pest Control coordinating and optimizing routing of the pest control technicians.

Anthony Iantosca Joins Tristar Worldwide
Boston-based Tristar Worldwide recently welcomed Anthony Iantosca as its newest director of sales. Iantosca will be managing some of Tristar’s key corporate accounts and helping to develop several new areas of business. The company, which is headquartered in London, also has an additional office in Hong Kong.
