Naples, Fla.—American Comfort Limousines has teamed up with the Lighthouse of Collier, a Florida-based charity organization for the blind, for the third year in a row by providing rides to and from the charity’s Annual Summer Children's Camp. This year’s camper turnout was a 50 percent increase from last year. With that, American Comfort Limousines ended up giving 80 rides—amounting to over $9,000 in donated service.
Company owner Jon Ziemba explains that American Comfort Limousines connected with the charity through a mutual connection in the limousine industry a few years ago and has been contributing ever since. According to him, the Lighthouse of Collier provides new opportunities for the blind that might not have been there before.
“There are so many different schools in Collier County,” says Ziemba, “and unless these children and adults come together here, they don’t get the chance to meet up with people that are like themselves.”
