"We are excited to add the coaches, and our goal was to complement our existing fleet with the highest quality and standards in this category of vehicle,” says Jorge Sanchez, president of Hermes Worldwide. “As we designed the motorcoaches, we wanted a style and design unmatched in our market and we feel we accomplished that. Everyone that sees our coaches has nothing but positive things to say and they literally bring a smile to everyone's face. We are looking forward to how this segment of our business will grow."
Sanchez says the first word from clients when they see the vehicles is “wow.” The motorcoaches include top-of-the-line features, such as full connectivity with WiFi, USB ports and outlets to keep devices charged, and on-board movies include the latest releases to help groups enjoy their trip at any distance.
The decision to add these motorcoaches did not happen overnight, as Sanchez says he has been studying and working this segment for nearly three years. He recommends other operators do their homework before considering getting into the coach business. "The motorcoach business isn't as easy as adding a Sprinter or even a minicoach,” he says. “There are a lot more rules and regulations to adhere to so you not only need the right support staff to ensure compliance, but a network to support the vehicle issues you will in evidently run into. We are still learning every day.”

“With the devastation of Hurricane Harvey leaving many stranded and in need of assistance, we felt it was our duty, as fellow Americans, to do anything we can to try and help the people there,” said Angelo DiMarco, President of Marketing & IT at Premier Limousine. “We’re honored to be involved in the Pack the Truck initiative and, with the help of our community, hope we can provide some relief for the people of Houston.”
Donation items included nonperishable food, lightly used clothing, unopened personal hygiene products, household items (including air mattresses, but not including furniture) and baby products. Premier Limousine had a silver 30-passenger limo bus parked at New Britain Stadium and donated two pallets of bottled water—approximately 3,400 bottles.
“On behalf of the Springer Family, we encourage your support for the victims of the devastation in Houston,” said Springer. “We appreciate your generosity in this time of need.”
Other local organizations that partnered in the donation efforts include A-1 Automotive & Transmission and the Connecticut Blue Jays AAU travel baseball team.
After the Pack the Truck event at New Britain Stadium, the Bees hosted the Sugar Land Skeeters for a doubleheader. Anyone who donated received a voucher to the doubleheader. The Bees staff were also on hand, and will continue to collect monetary donations at each game for the remainder of the regular season.
“Our hearts are with all that have been affected by the flooding in Texas,” said New Britain Bees majority owner Anthony Iacovone. “We hope that others will join New Britain in giving something to help the residents of Houston and the surrounding areas get through this terrible time.”
The Pack the Truck initiative to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey that Premier Limousine was involved in last week was a huge success! Some local TV stations covered the event, and here are links to their videos:
