The health and safety of your passengers has never been more important, and the scientific community is learning new ways every day to clean and disinfect public spaces. To keep the business community up to date, the EPA is holding a free webinar on August 12 at 1:00 p.m. ET called COVID-19: Aerosol Treatment Devices & Ozone Disinfection.

This session will address the latest methods that are available to businesses: EPA researchers are currently evaluating the efficacy of different types of aerosol treatment technologies in reducing airborne concentrations using a large-scale test chamber and a standardized testing approach. Conducting this research at a sufficiently large-scale with a recirculating HVAC system provides EPA and the public with an independent source of efficacy information that can be more reliably translated to real-world settings. Researchers are establishing protocols for evaluating efficacy of aerosol treatment products to help facilitate cross-technology comparisons.
Additionally, alternative methods that supplement regular cleaning and disinfection are being investigated by EPA researchers for their use in the ongoing COVID pandemic. Ozone fumigation has been identified as a potential method for disinfection of surfaces contaminated with the COVID virus. This webinar will discuss results from evaluating the efficacy of such methods and real-world application.
Register for the webinar via Zoom here.

Peak Limousine is excited to announce the purchase of SouthPark Limousine Service of Charlotte, N.C. A local competitor to Peak, SouthPark has been in the corporate transportation business for 15 years. Full details of the transaction were not disclosed.
“We are looking forward to the added business that’s going to come with this purchase,” says Peak Limousine President & CEO Shawn Glasgow. “During this somewhat difficult time, it’s nice to know we could purchase a business and automatically add that to our revenue source. We believe it’s going to, bottom line, add to our profits and support us as we rebuild and grow out of COVID.”
To date, SouthPark’s clients have been exceptionally pleased with the transfer in ownership.
“We are integrating our clients right now,” says Glasgow. “The people we’ve dealt with have raved about the service, saying that we’ve produced a similar feel on par with the original provider, if not better. They’re happy knowing that the company was acquired by someone who cares.”

With the rise in business due to the acquisition, the company is in the process of adding to its full-service fleet, which includes sedans, SUVs, executive vans, and minicoaches. Glasgow says they recently purchased a 2021 Lincoln Aviator midsize SUV from Complete Fleet Livery Sales, which has easily become one of the company’s most popular.
“That vehicle has been a huge success with chauffeurs and clients. Everybody just loves it,” he says. “It’s a midsize SUV that can be run as a sedan with ample room for four passengers and their standard luggage. It’s an all-inclusive package. You don’t have to worry about two passengers coming in with two sets of golf clubs anymore.”
Glasgow says that the company also purchased a new Expedition from Complete Fleet, and has orders in for a new Chevrolet Suburban and another Aviator.
“As far as sedans go, I feel the Aviator is the way of the future. My fleet makeup in the future will be Aviators and SUVs. It’s a slam dunk.”

ABC Companies, which provides motorcoaches, transit, and specialty passenger transport equipment to the industry, has delivered two 2021 Van Hool CX45’s to ECS Transportation Group in Dallas, Texas. The vehicles will be used to support the operator’s growing luxury transportation service.

ECS made its move into motorcoach operations in 2016, targeting expansion into large-group transport. After a focused vetting process, ABC Companies was selected as its preferred supplier and service partner for the all-Van Hool motorcoach fleet. Owners Joanne and Simon Hazan met with multiple top-tier motorcoach OEMs and said they chose ABC based on shared core values, their ability to provide responsive customer service and technical expertise, continuous product innovation, and of course, a unique chemistry that made for a great fit.

“Educating ABC about the elevated expectation of ECS’s ‘white-glove’ limo operation has been pivotal to growing this relationship,” said ECS President Joanne Hazan. “Open dialogue and transparency keeps our connection strong, and the ABC team continues to set the bar for service, innovation and technical expertise, whenever, wherever we need it. Our needs go hand-in-glove with their ability to meet and exceed them.”

A market leader in luxury ground transportation, the ECS fleet accommodates a wide range of executive, corporate and leisure travelers, as well as schools, universities, sports teams and church groups, and military movements. Headquartered in Dallas, ECS offers premium ground transportation to customers in over 600 cities worldwide. Its Van Hool CX45 56-passenger motorcoaches are appointed with luxury features such as black leather passenger seats, REI Elite HDMI E-System with six 15.6” monitors, onboard WiFi, 110V USB charging outlets, enclosed parcel racks, and ambient lighting, while chrome mirrors and Mercedes black exterior paint showcase the ECS brand.
“Our drivers really enjoy operating the CX45 coach,” said ECS CEO Simon Hazan. “The vehicle’s easy operation and smooth ride is enjoyed by both drivers and passengers. ABC has helped us specify really beautiful high-end finishes and onboard amenities and our signature Mercedes black exterior paint and custom ECS branding on the buses complements our executive limo fleet look and feel.”

While the pandemic has literally put the brakes on business worldwide, the Hazans credit their ability to successfully stay the course by managing growth, investing in digital and fleet assets, expanding into new markets, and keeping true to their business philosophy of high operational standards—delivered by their highly trained, professional staff. As markets continue to open and travel resumes, ECS anticipates greater demand and growth and is eager to work with the ABC team to achieve its goals.
“We are prepared, have the necessary safety protocols in place and are more than ready to roll to meet the demands of customers in our core market, across the nation and around the globe,” noted ECS Director of Affiliate Relations Dave Erdman.
