Can you believe we’re just three weeks away from the CD/NLA Show in National Harbor on November 13-16? To say that we’re excited about returning to the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center is an understatement. It’s been three years since we were on the East Coast with our industry friends and partners and we’re looking forward to delivering four days of networking, education, and fun. Many thanks to all our sponsors, including Title Sponsor Ford PRO for their part in making this show a reality.
We all love the networking, but the educational sessions and seminars are truly the heart of the CD/NLA Show. Each year, our dedicated CD/NLA Educational Committee carefully and thoughtfully assembles a roster of topics and skilled speakers who will provide instant takeaway that you can use immediately in your business. Special thanks to Education Sponsor United Private Car for coming aboard.
In the more than 18 hours of educational programming and roundtables coming your way at the Gaylord, you can count on our speakers and moderators to tackle the most relevant issues facing operators today. For example, on Monday, November 14 at 9:30 am, come on board for Welcome to the New World of Obtaining a CDL. A panel—including James Blain of PAX Training, Chris Przybylski of LBC Fleet, Bobby Puri of True Elegance, and Moderator Jason Sharenow of Broadway Elite Worldwide—will look at how the landscape for obtaining CDLs is changing and operators, big and small, are having to adjust their structure and processes to accommodate these changes. Don't miss this timely session to learn about available solutions for operators of all sizes to help you prepare for this new world!
Concurrent with our CDL session on Monday morning is Why Salespeople Fail, presented by Larry Van Sant of Sandler Training. Success in sales and almost anything else is a result of three things: Attitude, Behavior, and Technique. We will be looking at how your attitude could be holding you back, how you decide not to move out of your comfort zone. Behavior includes the activities that you need to do in order to be successful, if we are going to wait for the phone to ring, we certainly have to change our behavior. And finally, we’ll look at technique: what is our strategy and our tactics to move sales forward, how do I communicate to different personalities. Regardless of what line of work you do, Van Sant will provide insights and tools to use in your continued success.
Have you heard of DEI but struggle to understand the impact it can have on your business? Then join us on Tuesday at 10 am for The Fundamentals of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Greg DeShields, a travel/leisure industry expert from Tourism Diversity Matters, will equip you with the basic framework of DEI, including definitions, terms, and behavioral modifications that foster the concept and create a strategic approach throughout your organization. Attendees will come away from the session with the confidence and skills to engage in meaningful conversations around the issues of DEI.
