CharterUP—an integrated charter bus marketplace for corporations, consumers, and operators—has appointed Denis Scott as its new chief marketing officer. According to the company's announcement, Scott will lead and execute the company’s marketing initiatives to strengthen its brand presence, accelerate growth, and further establish CharterUP as the leading charter services platform.
Scott has more than two decades of marketing experience, including several leadership roles at Lyft, OpenTable, and SurveyMonkey, where he honed his skills in navigating the complex dynamics of supply and demand in marketplace environments. The company says this deep understanding of marketplace strategies will be invaluable as he leads CharterUP’s efforts to optimize and grow its integrated charter bus platform.
“Joining CharterUP as its chief marketing officer is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and evolution of the company, which is already transforming charter services through innovation and technology,” said Scott. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to solidify CharterUP’s position as the leading marketplace platform and help more people recognize charter travel as a sustainable and efficient mode of transportation.”
Scott has also been honored as a 40 Under 40 by Brand Innovators, and he has given speeches at Dreamforce and Google Next.
“Denis brings a unique perspective to CharterUP, having been an integral player in defining the categories of some of the most influential marketplace companies,” said Founder & CEO Armir Harris. “His exceptional track record at OpenTable, Lyft, and Fanatics in building robust brands and driving growth in two-sided markets aligns perfectly with our mission. We're thrilled to have Denis apply his profound expertise and innovative strategies to elevate CharterUP's position as a leader in the charter bus industry.”
CharterUP has grown rapidly in the past year, doubling its workforce and requiring the expansion of its Texas product and technology hub (the company also has an office in Atlanta). As a testament of its growth, CharterUP earned the second-place slot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in 2023.
According to the company, the platform has become the top charter service provider for Fortune 500 companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, by streamlining group transportation.
