Kristina Bouweiri, the multi-hyphenate powerhouse president & CEO of Reston Limousine & Travel Service, has been honored by the Virginia Business magazine in a recent article showcasing 30 corporate leaders from across the state. This is not the first time that Bouweiri has been cited by the magazine; she was also included in the list as recently as 2021.
Reston was founded in 1990 with just five cars and grew to 250 vehicles with 450 employees thanks to Bouweiri’s grit and ability to build meaningful connections in the D.C. area as well as the industry. The company has been a major player in the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia market for decades.
In the article, Bouweiri explains why giving back to her community is a core principle of the company. Expounding upon a time when the company was financially vulnerable in 2001, she recalled the grace she was given by her bank thanks to her deep commitment to serving her local community via donated rides to sick children and veterans’ groups. According to the article, she’s “served on several community and regional boards, raised money for Loudoun Boy Scouts and recruited members for 100WomenStrong, a group that is dedicated to improving life in Loudoun County.”
The award-winning business leader is also up for another award, the 2024 Ernst & Young Mid-Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year award. She was announced as one of the finalists last month and the winner is expected to be announced in June.
