D&D Executive Transportation and Great Lakes Executive Transportation have officially merged operations, creating a premier unified chauffeured services provider serving throughout Metro Detroit and the surrounding areas.

The companies say that this merger bridges two of the Michigan region's most established reputations: Great Lakes Executive Transportation, a Birmingham-based staple for 25 years, and D&D Executive Transportation, an 18-year veteran of the Canton and Westland markets. Together, the companies bring more than 40 years of expertise to a single, high-capacity platform.
The merger was driven by a mutual goal to better serve the corporate sector and expand the logistical capabilities available to local and national clients. By combining resources, the unified company now provides a seamless service corridor stretching across the entire Detroit metropolitan region.
"At D&D, our primary focus was to enhance our service area and strengthen our presence in the B2B market," says D&D Executive Transportation Vice President Scott Archer. "Simultaneously, Great Lakes wanted to be able to offer larger vehicles and a robust, worldwide affiliate network to their corporate clients. With those goals in mind, this merger was the perfect blend of two established companies in the area."
The combined entity now operates a diverse fleet of 13 vehicles, led by a brand-new 2026 Chevrolet Suburban. The fleet features a strategic mix of two SUVs and five sedans for executive travel, as well as large-capacity vehicles seating up to 36 passengers for group movements and corporate events.
Key benefits of the merger include:
- Enhanced group logistics: The addition of 36-passenger vehicles allows the company to handle large-scale corporate events and shuttle contracts that were previously outside the scope of individual operations.
- Affiliate network expansion: Leveraging D&D’s active presence in the National Limousine Association (NLA) and industry events, the merger unlocks a sophisticated inbound and outbound farm-out system for Great Lakes’ legacy clients.
- Streamlined operations: The integration of veteran chauffeurs and staff creates a deeper "bench" for high-volume days, ensuring the highest service standards are met for every trip throughout Metro Detroit.
