Dearborn, Mich.—2015 Ford Transit joins the cast of “American Pickers” for the show’s new season on History.
The durability and cargo hauling capability of Transit fit the needs of “American Pickers” as the cast crosses the country in search of forgotten relics and antiques. 487 cubic feet of cargo volume offers ample space to transport big finds.
To celebrate the debut of Transit on “American Pickers,” Ford is hosting a scavenger hunt that challenges contestants to find one of 10 scale-model Transit vehicles on display in antique shops across the United States. The 10 winners get the use of a 2015 Transit for two weeks.
The reality show’s stars, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, will drive a 2015 Transit, a full-size van designed for commercial use, in their mission to find these relics.
“The biggest thing is, when the van is full, then we’ve got to come home. I’m interested in real estate on wheels,” says Wolfe. “There were four or five different vehicles I was looking at, and I just keep coming back to the Ford as the better choice.”
American Pickers” will use the largest Transit model – with a long wheelbase, extended body and high roof – featuring the available Ford 3.2-liter Power Stroke five-cylinder diesel engine. The show is just one example of how Ford Transit serves the needs of small businesses and commercial fleets. This version of the Transit was seen by Chauffer Driven staff members at the most recent Limousine Association of New Jersey (LANJ) meeting in May.

Belmont, N.C.—North Carolina-based CLT Express Livery recently completed a merger with Carolina’s Executive Limo-Line, which is based in Charleston, S.C. The company was founded in 2009 by Kim and Kelly Klaiber and has grown steadily over the years.
This is the company’s third acquisition in as many years. Last year, CLT purchased Charlotte Limousine and in 2011, Aiken Limousine. CLT also recently added a coach to its fleet, a move that owner Jeff Canady says will allow them to have better control when fulfilling the specific needs of its clients. The company provides chauffeured ground transportation services throughout the Carolinas.
CLT Express is owned and operated by Jeff and Laura Canady. Laura is the current secretary of the Carolina Regional Limousine Association and serves as a board member of the NLA.
