Prevost recently announced the appointment of François Tremblay as president of Volvo Group Canada and leader of Canada’s Country Management Team (CMT). In addition to retaining his position as president of Prevost and Volvo Buses North America, Tremblay will replace Ralph Acs as a member of the Volvo Group North America Country Management team.
"It is truly a privilege to lead the Canadian organization for Volvo Group, one of the world's leading manufacturing groups. I look forward to working with the outstanding management team at Volvo Group Canada and serving on the Volvo Group North America Country Management team to continue supporting market opportunities and growth," said Tremblay.
Tremblay joined the Volvo Group in January 2016 as vice president/general manager for Prevost and Volvo motorcoaches for the North American market. From 2020 to 2022, he led the company through the pandemic and maintained a steady pace of growth and product innovation despite the period of global uncertainty. He was promoted to president of Prevost and Volvo Buses North America in 2021.

Can you believe it’s been almost a decade since Chauffeur Driven introduced our first Executive Retreat to the industry in 2015? That very first event in Music City, USA promised the intimate crowd—capped at 200 attendees—an opportunity to enjoy an exclusive, tight-knit networking event infused with equal parts of world-class education and tons of local flavor, including obscene amounts of food, drinks, and nonstop fun. The Executive Retreat is designed to foster camaraderie so that you leave refreshed and energized—and quite likely with some new friends.
Since our Nashville debut, we’ve received industry acclaim for taking the event across the country to some of the hippest and unique regions in the US. We’ve had our own Second Line Parade through New Orleans’ French Quarter, sampled fantastic vino during exclusive Wine Country tours in San Francisco, had breathtaking views in our private skybox 15 stories above the Padres vs. Nationals game in San Diego, stuffed our faces with the best Tex-Mex in Austin, and boated the waters of Miami’s lavish Biscayne Bay.
For 2023, along with our partners in the National Limousine Association, we’re heading back to the city where it all started! This June 4-6, we’ll be headquartered at the Hilton Downtown Nashville, located in the heart of the always-happening Broadway district where you can get loud and rowdy at its legendary honky-tonks as you experience the best live music and local up-and-coming talent. While our agenda and tours have yet to be finalized, you can definitely count on some time at Tootsies World Famous Orchid Lounge and Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk.
In anticipation for our return to this incredible town, we’re offering a Early Bird Rate of $899 for the event. That’s a whopping $100 off! But this special discount is only available through April 21, so don’t miss out! Click here to register with code: EARLYBIRD. What’s more, we’re thrilled to have an all-star lineup of incredible sponsors on board for the Retreat, including Platinum Sponsors EmpireCLS Worldwide and Lancer Insurance.
The industry has changed a lot since our first Executive Retreat, and so have our events. But the core tenets of what makes the CD/NLA Executive Retreat great haven’t wavered from that original mixture of education that helps you work on—rather than in—your business, networking that strengthens your personal ties with your professional peers, and incredible day and evening activities that let you see a secondary market from a local’s point of view.
“We have nothing but positive things to say. There is truly something special about a smaller retreat. It made it so much easier to establish genuine connections with the people who help make Park Avenue successful. At the end of the day, a lot of these people aren’t just business partners: They’ve become family and friends, and it’s nice to just have a great time together as well as help each other learn and grow. These events are all about networking, and we did that by leaps and bounds at the retreat,” said Alan Candeub of Park Avenue Limousine.
Did you think we’d take you to Nashville without digging into the city’s famous fare? We’ll start each day with a hearty breakfast (but not too early—we know late nights are the hallmarks of industry events!), and then pile on the barbecue, hot chicken, and other local favorites as the days wear on.
“Having only been to Nashville once before, all I could think at the retreat was: Wow! The location was right in the heart of the action, whether it was good food, good drinks, or awesome entertainment,” said Ed Kahakauwila of L.A. Limousines & Transportation Services. “The opportunities to network were well thought out, from a workshop schedule that started at a reasonable time to the educational programs that exceeded my expectations. It was nonstop fun and opportunity—what an event!”
Our high-level education geared toward advanced operators is still in the works, but rest assured that the CD/NLA Education Committee (co-chaired by Jason Sharenow of Broadway Elite Worldwide and Karl Guenther of Statement Limousine) is working hard to bring a team of outside-the-industry experts and their worlds of knowledge and training right to you. Previous retreats have included content from The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and FranklinCovey, so you know we’re working on bringing you the best again this year. And, as we’ve done in the past, you can also count on an interactive session that will allow you to work alongside your peers. Stay tuned to upcoming e-news stories for more details.
Stay tuned for more info about our return to Nashville, both in the pages of Chauffeur Driven magazine and at the event’s website, cdnlaexecutiveretreat.com. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the city where it all started.
